These quilts were made for my niece, Emilee, to give to friends of hers for a baby showers. She wanted it to be unisex with a duck theme. I do believe I accomplished that. They were great fun to make and a relief after queen and king size quilts. Will keep you posted as to if she likes them. I am mailing them off to her tomorrow.

The wonderful fabric arrived from Thousands of Bolts. It is great ! ! ! I have already started the baby quilt top that my niece ordered. It is working up so darn cute.

I moved strawberry plants most of the morning. We had a hard frost last night, only 22 degrees, but I only lost my Hydrangea plant and the cosmos. I have more strawberries than I know where to plant. I have to get them moved from their current location to make room for more perennials.

I sewed all weekend and made quite a bit of progress of "UFO's". I finished my "Pumpkin and Spice" wall hanging. This started with a panel and blocks are added to get the full effect. Especially the pumpkin blocks. I have never had to "unsew" a quilt in progress so much in my life. I am certain it was just me, the directions and me just didn't click ! ! !
Also, finished is a twin quilt made for my mom's bed. It was made completely with JoAnn Fabrics which is unusual for me since they are limited on color variety.

Kimberly had a scrapbooking weekend at Fuller's North Branch Outing Club. Myself and about 17 other women were either quilting or scrapbooking from Thursday to Sunday. WAY TOO MUCH FUN.....Of course, the unhealthy variety of food was flowing constantly also. Sugar, Sugar, Sugar..... Lots of laughter and good fun ! ! ! Fuller's is such a great place for a sewing retreat with plenty of "spread out" space, plenty of tables and lots of light.

I also started the Christmas gifts for my quilt group which is a biggy.....They are hokey but cute...

It definitely was a productive weekend.

At sewing on Monday I started a Christmas Tree Skirt that is working up nicely.

I also made a wonderful purchase from "Thousands of Bolts, Only One Nut" the other day and am anxiously awaiting delivery. I need more fabric, NOT ! ! ! ! But it was too nice and too cheap, a perfect combination.

My friend Ruth told me that she was looking at the Viking 118 sewing machine to take to classes and such, since it only weighs like 12 pounds. I found her a good deal at Bonnies Sewing Center in Bay City, MI. But she was able to get just about as good a price in Ann Arbor. So hopefully she will get it and enjoy ! ! ! !

I am going downstate this weekend and will visit JoAnn's to get essentials....Blades mostly.
